Session on topic “Silent Killer”
Students Development Department of RCPET’s IMRD, Shirpur has organized session on topic “Silent Killer” for MCA and Integrated MCA students on 2nd Sept 2023 at S. M. Patel Hall. For this programme Dr. Sanjay G. Shah was invited as a resource person. Sir is working as Chief Medical Officer at S.V. National Institute of Technology, Surat since 24 years and highly passionate for contributing in Nation building. Director of RCPET’s IMRD Dr. Vaishali Patil welcomed and felicitated such eminent personality. Institute always highlights and consistently focuses on student development and plays a crucial role in nurturing to develop for a student’s academic success and as well for a student’s personal growth. RCPET’s IMRD believe in Holistic Education which goes beyond the classroom. With the same objective this session was organized in campus. While delivering session on “Silent Killer” sir talked about multimedia presentation on inspiring the youth for their role in nation building & shared the scientific medical information on Substance Abuse Prevention & Rehabilitation. Sir gave highlight on various things such as: 1. Guru Vandana and importance of Guru and Teachers in life. 2. Big Dream and vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. 3. Whatever knowledge you are getting Start giving back to society. 4. See a big dream with open eye. 5. Focus on Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Social health. 6. Know Smoking then Say No Smoking. 7. Various Cancer diseases because of Smoking and by Chewing Tobacco. 8. Health awareness campaigns to educate people about the dangers of Gutka . 9. Cancer caused by smoking is a significant and well-documented health concern. Smoking tobacco is one of the leading causes of preventable deaths worldwide, and it is responsible for a substantial portion of cancer cases etc. This session was all related to this young generation and to make them aware about such challenges and problems. More than 370 +sessions were conducted by Dr. Sanjay Shah sir in different organization on such sensitive topics. This session was organized for two batches more than 300+ students from MCA and IMCA participated in this session. All the faculties from MCA department gave their great support to make this program successful.
